Masking the Pain: OSF Affairs of the Heart

So much of our outward life is a masking of an inner turmoil. Do these Old School selections represent "two sides of the same coin?"

That's my girl Butta's Jeffrey Osbourne video! LOL! He still got it huh?

That Luther song is way under my radar! I must investigate. I like it! What the person is saying throughout is depressing though. Particularly for me right now. LOL!

Both excellent choices. You know I'm always going to smile for Luther.

I said on somebody else's post that I forgot about LTD.

But I just responded to you at my own blog. I can't believe I didn't post Al Green's "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?" ;-) Now that's a classic!

I like your choices, Rev. And I like the editorial flowing in that Luther video.

Ah, the yin and the yang of the heart - good idea!

I put my 3 up - retro style - but, the last one is just for my inner child!

One, I think I can honestly say I've never heard that Jeffrey Osbourne song. But it is making it to a party playlist.

Two, classic Luther. Love it.

Great choices Rev!

Hey REv!

Man, Jeffrey was throwin' DOWN on this one. Had me boppin' in m'chair. I was sorry to see the Luther video apparently got pulled, but Jeffrey was bad enough to pick up the slack. Happy OSF!

Hi Revvy!

I hope it is warming up your way! :-)

Great choices! I miss Luther very much. And I love how you worked Jeffery into the theme.

Happy OSF to you!

@Vivrant, Butta be on' it for sho!

@Truth (VP) How'd you forget about the preacher, Al Green?

@Kim, you are a little too new, but Jeffrey Osborne and LTD did a few party songs as well as ballads.

Mr. D spot, It's you, not me.

Ms. Lady Deborah, 50s and 60s, I thought about bermudas but then I quickly came to myself...no,no,no.

PC, Annie, Shae, Diva, Regina, all y'all thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend, get your praise on, relax, and I might get on the grill if this heat wave sticks around. Y'all welcome too.

Oh my, why don't I know this Luther song. I thought I had all of Luther on lock.

I saw LTD on another blog, and I thought to myself, how could I miss heart-y.

Jeffrey Osborne is my absolute favorite. I love Luther, but I am a huge Osborne fan. I saw him with another favorite of mine in the California dessert (Pechanga) one night and they "partied hearty". Excuse my lateness
