Reflections on the issues facing a contemporary ministry in an urban
small-membership church that is socially conscious as well as salvation cognizant.
Rev this is perfect. Someone needs to go ahead and let the dollar circulate to my house... freely at that. Have a good weekend. :)
Rev. I love it! "Let the dollar circulate", enough said.
great choice! I haven't heard a Billy Paul jam in ages!Sadly a lot of the problems highlighted then are still problems now...only in America
Yeah Rev! Yeah!I never heard this tune before, although I'm definitely familiar with Billy Paul. But you can't get more timely than this. And "A Cry from those whose cheese is on the squeeze"..? Please. That's gotta be the headline of the month, for real.
I love Billy Paul...Sometimes I break out break out his greatest hits just to hear him croon, "This Is Your Life". Nice choice! Happy OSF.
i posted about the same thing! We were on the same level this Friday, happy OSF-
Is this in response to the teaparty, economy, and taxes.I haven't heard this song, but the lyrics are on point. I feel like things have changed, but nothing has changed, if that makes any sense.I don't know how Marvin Gaye and Billy Paul could a write a song years ago that means the exact same to us now.
That's right - TRICKLE UP the economy is what I've been tweeting lately! Go out and spend $50 on something you don't need - like art (LOL - gee, think I'm an artist selling art?? Hehehe)Pass the Buck has a whole new meaning now, huh??I'm sending KISSES to everyone this week with The One, The Only True ROCK & ROLL THEME SONG!Happy OSF, Rev and kudos to you and everyone who realizes that spending money is the only real answer to getting our economy moving - GREAT SONG CHOICE!
Scary how much of this fits today. I kept thinking about the Chinese who've been saying the American dollar is worthless. Great choice for OSF, Rev.V.P.NOLA Lit ExaminerWSATA OSF
Timely. Happy OSF
I know Billy Paul, but I don't know this track. Thank you Revvy for the "new song of the day" for me. :)Happy OSF and have a wonderful weekend.
I didnt know this one either, but I think Obama should pick it up as his theme song STAT.
Wow...just wow.It is downright creepy how these songs seem to recycle themselves...
Great choice! Very appropriate! And on top of that really takes me back to afros and platform shoes. Boy! those were the days!
